Flight Operations Officer (FOO)

Job Description

The Flight Operations Officer (FOO) – as a key member of the Flight Operations Department – is assisting the Flight Operations Manager (FOM) in flight planning, execution, and post-processing in a certain region and/or for certain customers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Arranging all services and requesting all permissions which are relevant for the safe operation of UAS flights
  • Initiate, reschedule, delay or cancel UAS flights
  • Flight monitoring, supervision and assistance in case of an emergency
  • Customer and remote crew support
  • Sales, billing, and invoicing of flights
  • Effective communication and coordination with other operational support personnel (OSP) and remote crews

Education

  • High school or university degree preferred

Experience

  • Holders of FAA, German or Austrian flight dispatch license are preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in (unmanned) flight operations
  • EASA

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAO)

  • Basic knowledge of EASA regulations
  • EASA UAS regulations expertise
  • Ability to properly assess the needs of EuroDragons flight operations in a fluid and fast changing environment
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to take the initiative
  • Flexible work approach to match the operational requirements
  • Very good MS Office skills and experience working with dispatch software (Fleetplan)
  • Excellent English and German language skills (both verbal and written)
  • Permission to live and work in Austria required

  • Valid driving license class B
